Using the internet Explorer dialer connection:

STEP 1: Open Internet Explorer. click on the icon on your desktop.

The following "Dial up connection" box should open. If it does, click Settings.

If Not, When your Internet explorer opens... Go to TOOLS (at the top), then INTERNET OPTIONS and then CONNECTIONS which takes you to Step 2 below.  

(Note if this does not work on your computer go Here for another way to connect to some older versions of windows 95 or 98.) Otherwise, just keep following the directions below.)

STEP 2: Click on Connections and Add....

STEP 3: Click Dial up to private network

STEP 4: Insert the local Network dial up number you were sent. (area code + number)

STEP 5: Your option if this page come up.

STEP 6: Add any name like DIAL UP CONNECTION or "mydoghouse"

STEP 7: Insert the USERNAME your were sent... (the one that starts with "dog...."

Add you Password

For Domain just put: www.mydoghouse.com/welcome.htm

STEP 8: Your dial up connection should be set as your default.

STEP 9: When you click on Internet Explorer this dialer should appear.

 

The little computer ICON will show up on your tool bar at the bottom. Click on it to DISCONNECT. It will also show you your connection speed.


SET UP YOUR EMAIL

Open Outlook Express (once it is downloaded and executed)
ON THE TOOLBAR at the top of Outlook Express
    Click TOOLS
    Click ACCOUNTS
    Click MAIL
    Click ADD
The wizard starts... with blanks to fill in:
    NAME (YOURS - WHAT EVER YOU WANT HERE such as "mydoghouse")
    EMAIL (Your new email) 
    EMAIL SERVER (fill in the blanks on this page as follows)
        My incoming mail server is a    POP3
         Incoming mail           pop.mydoghouse.com
         Outgoing mail           smtp.safepages.com
    INTERNET MAIL LOGON
         Account name (IMPORTANT... THIS IS THE SAME AS YOUR NEW EMAIL- the entire thing!
         Password  (your new password)     
         (click box to remember password)
